Although fall quarter at Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) is just getting underway, we’re already looking ahead. If you're considering or know of someone who is planning to attend TVCC in the Fall of 2026, please note that Foundation scholarship applications for the 2026–27 academic year will open online on November 1, 2025. With one application, students can be considered for multiple scholarships, and the process is quick and straightforward. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2026.

We’re grateful for the continued efforts of the TVCC Foundation, which plays a vital role in supporting students through fundraising, community partnerships, grant writing, and events—like our upcoming 14th Annual Foundation Gala.

The Gala has become a well-loved annual event, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community members who contribute through donations and sponsorships. If you're a business owner or friend of the college, you may have already heard from us about this year’s event. Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and we are extremely grateful for you.

This year’s Gala will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Four Rivers Cultural Center. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased online at https://events.bakerauctionbenefits.com/e/2025-tvcc-foundation-gala or by calling the Foundation Office at 541-881-5586.

If you haven’t attended the Gala before, we’d love to see you there. The evening includes wine and dessert walls, silent and live auctions, and refreshments—a fun night in support of student scholarships.

In other news, TVCC is celebrating the grand re-opening of our Harney County Center in Burns on October 8, 2025. We’re excited to continue serving the Harney County community and appreciate the support we've received. The event includes a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m., and an informational session about the future plans for the center.

Looking ahead, our annual CTE Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. This year’s event will feature guest speaker and professional barrel racer Amberley Snyder.

Finally, we invite the community to cheer on the Chukar Volleyball team on Friday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. in the John J. Easly Gymnasium. The team is having a strong season, and your support means a lot. For the full schedule, visit https://www.gochuks.com/sports/wvball/2025-26/schedule.

Another important update is the launch of a new 5–10-year Facilities Master Plan. Earlier this year, we selected Opsis Architecture to guide us through the planning process. We are currently scheduling the remaining departmental meetings, steering committee sessions, and presentations with our Board of Education to help prioritize needs, finalize concepts, and prepare presentations through next spring.

This has been a collaborative effort, and we welcome additional feedback as we envision the future of our College’s facilities. If you’ve never visited our campus, I encourage you to take a tour—we have a dedicated staff who contribute to the care and vibrancy of our beautiful grounds, spacious areas, and state-of-the-art buildings.

As we wrap up the facilities master planning process next spring, the new Evelyn S. Dame Nursing and Allied Health Professions Center will be nearing completion. Over the past several decades, we’ve been fortunate to add new residence halls, a science center, an updated livestock center, and a career and technical education center, each contributing to the success and evolving landscape of TVCC.
